Summer Schedule
During summertime, CSE's workshop schedule slows down to accommodate those of you taking vacations and enjoying outdoor activities. For those looking for like some spiritual upliftment, Lily Dale Assembly, one of NSAC's Spiritualist camps, offers some opportunities that combine the pleasures of a short road trip with education.
The Lily Dale Assembly of Lily Dale, NY has been bringing Spiritualist summer programs to the public since 1879. This Spiritualist camp is a community dedicated to the religion of Spiritualism. They offer many types of workshops and demonstrations from June 23 through September 6. Visit www.lilydaleassembly.com for complete program information.
CSE Music Program
Our wonderful organist, Elois will be out for a month or two for personal time starting at the end of July. We are looking for some music options to cover this time and to expand our repertoire. If you sing solos or in a group, play a musical instrument, or know of someone who would fit in well with the spiritual setting of a devotional service from time to time, please contact Sheila Cash at thecse@thcse.org. A meeting will be set up to discuss your ideas.
CSE Board Meeting
The next CSE board meeting will be held Friday, July 17th at 6:00 p.m. in the CSE building. The board meetings are open to all CSE members. For those who are unable to attend and would like to send any comments or suggestions so that they can be introduced at the meeting, please send an email to Sheila Cash, CSE Executive Coordinator at thecse@thcse.org or to Shelly Wooldridge, CSE Board President at shelly.wooldridge@gmail.com.
Volunteer Opportunities
- SUNDAY PROGRAMS - We are currently seeking a volunteer to print our Sunday programs. The complete Sunday program is sent as an attachment by email and can be printed out in black ink and copied onto colored paper at any copy center (or at home.) They need to be delivered on Sunday mornings. You can even come early on Sunday and get help folding the copies.
- SET-UP/TAKE-DOWN - We need some extra hands for setting up before our Sunday services and take down after the services. This includes lining up the chairs, setting out hymnals and programs on each chair, setting up the hymn board, lighting candles, putting out glasses of water for the ministerial council, etc. After the service, we put back hymnals, disassemble the Welcome table items and put away, take out tables and set them up, arrange food, set up coffee and drinks and so on. Then all needs to be put back after fellowship. We can always use many extra helping hands every week.
- LIBRARY - If you love working with books, please consider helping in our library with filing and registering books.
